Starlight 03:06
Starlight (Hodgin) I’m seeing the world open up to me Through the window, from the backseat Under the stars, through the pine trees I’m seeing what tonight could be Someone singing on the radio A beautiful song that could never get old Before the things that would limit me There was a chance I could be free Run my fingers through the night air Feeling like I could go anywhere Seeing everything by star light The world shining like a toy tonight Touch my hand to the cold glass Feel the warmth of the stars as the sky flies past Traffic lights can’t stop me now The road before me will never run out Run my fingers through the night air Feeling like I could go anywhere Seeing everything by star light The world shining like a toy tonight Seeing everything by star light The world shining like a toy tonight

A Bomb Goes Off! (Hodgin) I first saw the light overhead on a movie screen The sound of the sprockets counting down to a fever dream It was Summer ’77 and my mind was an unlit fuse Out into the sun like I had nothing to lose I first heard The Concept on a bus going to New York Sitting in the back wearing headphones in the dark A feedback explosion like a cotton candy colored sky Pink and yellow flames that can still make my soul ignite It’s a Night Café where a bomb goes off Giving you direction when you’re feeling lost On tennis racket guitars we played Budokan While DC and Marvel squared off with pistols at dawn Catcher in the Rye should be discovered when you're 16 And Bruce Lee movies on TV are a beautiful thing It’s a Night Café where a bomb goes off Giving you direction when you’re feeling lost It’s a Night Café where a bomb goes off Giving you direction when you’re feeling lost

about

“Atlanta's The Stoplight Roses take their name from the Nick Lowe song and it shows. Although, you can see the connection in their sound, probably more to Brinsley Schwarz, they have a sort of TFC riff groove. It's a great laid back listen.”
Don Valentine - I Don't Hear a Single

“A Bomb Goes Off lays out a bit of personal history, and nicely encapsulates the band’s overall mix of vintage Power Pop, Garage Rock and Alt-Country. Its also one of the finest songs of the year.”
- Pop That Goes Crunch
